To be equipped for success, students need a well-rounded, challenging education – and more. Researchers and practitioners have clearly identified five critical components of a “whole child” education. If students are to master world-class academics, they need to be physically and emotionally healthy and safe. They need to be intellectually challenged. They need supportive adults who know them well and care about their success. And they need to be interested and engaged in what they are learning, with 21st century tools to develop 21st century skills.
You and your students are invited to take a lead role in MASCD’s Whole Child Student Leadership campaign to develop student voice for positive change in school and beyond.
Help insure that all students are
HEALTHY, SAFE, ENGAGED SUPPORTED, and CHALLENGED
