Teaching Writing and Thinking with Web 2.0 for English & Social Studies Teachers & Curriculum Coordinators Grades 6-12The summer sessions will provide an overview of ways in which strategic instructional use of digital communication media can support the writing process, improve written expression, and promote thinking and understanding of content. Teachers will explore and deepen their understanding of Web 2.0 tools (i.e. TeacherWeb, First Class conferencing, Tapped-In) and begin designing learning activities that employ these tools for their own classrooms. Learning will continue through the summer with online and face-to-face support for curriculum development. Fall sessions will enable participants to refine their curriculum plans as they implement the new activities. |
