We are focused on improving education for every learner. Our efforts concentrate on ensuring excellence and equity in educational practices and policies. We convene opportunities for professional learning – including conferences, roundtable discussions, and Twitter chats – and share high quality resources – including a weekly newsletter, blog posts, and podcasts – to reach this goal.

The Whole Child
ASCD’s Whole Child approach is an effort to transition from a focus on narrowly defined academic achievement to one that promotes the long-term development and success of all children.
Through this approach, ASCD supports educators, families, community members, and policymakers as they move from a vision about educating the whole child to sustainable, collaborative actions. MASCD leads these efforts to uphold the promise that every student, in every classroom, in every community is Healthy, Safe, Engaged, Supported, and Challenged in Massachusetts. |
Vibrant Network
MASCD members are part of a dynamic network of educators serving in a variety of roles. Our community leverages social media and other platforms as well as partnerships with professional organizations to connect all educators in collaborative processes to support continuous growth and improvement.
